lovers, fighters,

I started up this little sideblog dealie a little while ago when I wanted for things to be less public, leaving behind my previous blog that I started straight out of surgery all the way back in 2008. I’m making the decision to return to the old blog, in part because I’m thinking of rocking it as my pen name, in part because its audience is slightly larger and, with the crowd-funding portion of the principle diet of the awfulings starting to elbow its way into my head I want to be able to spread this thing as far and wide as is possible.

I’m not sure if I’ll leave this blog active or even alive; either way to the new friends I’ve met here it’s been a wonderful opportunity and I’d love for you to head along down a different road a way with me. I think exciting things are coming, and I want to share them with you all.

Peace, love and heart grenades,

Nathan.

last night, while having dinner at a friend's place,

a friend of his housemate’s came around and, for some reason or another, brought up angry birds. I was curious about what his reaction might be, so I said what the hell is an angry birds?, to which he replied, you don’t know what angry birds is? are you retarded? I laughed and asked him what an angry birds does, and he said, you flick birds at pigs. I laughed and asked him to remind me which one of us is retarded, again?

“…that’s an above average exciting experience and I’m always down for that. And if you’re not, go ahead, live your boring life, live your life with your alarm clock and your normal rigid schedule of predetermined patterns of behavior and don’t get away from the hive. You stay deep, stay deep in there and do what everybody else is doing. Go ahead, good luck. Not me, life’s short.” —Joe Rogan

“Psychedelics are not illegal because a loving government is concerned that you may jump out the first story window, psychedelics are illegal because they dissolve phonic structures and culturally laid down novels of behavior and information processing, they open you up to the possibility that everything you know is wrong.” —

Terence McKenna (via neobutterfly)

If your government really cared for you - which they claim to, when restricting psychedlic use - do you think cigarettes would still be legal?

after

three weeks of not being able to work out on account of the fractured rib, my housemate and I got up early this morning, walked down lanes of peak hour traffic as far as the eye can see (always astonishing), jumped in the pool and swam laps until we couldn’t swim laps anymore (which didn’t take long). Sounds as though it’s going to become a regular thing which, I’m hoping, will level out my sleeping patterns again. After a long time of being a sedentary creature, and a couple of years of hard training, my body’s not made for laziness anymore.

Also, I am often restraining myself from babbling about where the principle diet of the awfulings is headed. In the next couple of months, though, expect big announcements.

Love you, people.
